Penn Mutual is seeking a motivated and experienced Senior Platform Engineer to lead and enhance our brokerage and RIA technology team, which plays a critical role in managing the daily technology operations and shaping the future of our wealth management platform. In this pivotal role, you will maintain and optimize the current technology infrastructure while designing and developing the foundational infrastructure and systems needed to support complex data integrations and future growth. This position requires close collaboration with key business stakeholders and other technology teams to drive strategic initiatives. As a hands-on leader, you will leverage your expertise in platform engineering to ensure the scalability, reliability, and long-term success of Penn Mutual's wealth management platform.

Responsibilities

  • As a Senior Platform Engineer, you’ll partner with a team of experienced software and data engineers, removing impediments and enabling the teams to deliver business value.
  • Work with leadership to define and manage priorities, technical strategies for infrastructure modernization, and operational standards across the organization
  • Ensure team ownership of existing infrastructure with emphasis on maintaining operational consistency
  • Be a passionate leader committed to the development and mentorship of your team members
  • Partner with business and IT stakeholders to ensure alignment with key corporate priorities
  • Share ideas and work to bring people together to help solve complex problems
  • Create a positive and collaborative environment by championing open communication and soliciting continuous feedback
  • Stay current with new technology trends.
  • Participates in the discussion and documentation of best practices and standards for infrastructure development


Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent communications, collaboration, and mentoring skills.
  • Reviews requirements, specifications, and technical designs documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
  • Deep cloud infrastructure and AWS compute, storage, database and data processing experience
  • Infrastructure as code leveraging Terraform, AWS CloudFormation or CDK
  • Proficiency with AWS CloudWatch, Prometheus, or Grafana
  • CI/CD pipeline development using Jenkins, BitBucket
  • Experience designing highly available and resilient architectures in AWS


Education

  • Bachelor's Degree In computer science or related discipline Required


Experience

  • More than 10 Years related experience Required

The interview process will include several rounds of video interviews and may also include an in person component.

Base Salary Range - $135,000 - $155,000
