ASPP / EHS Administrator – Milan Keeping people safe isn’t a side‑task. It’s the whole job. If you’re the kind of EHS professional who knows the difference between ticking boxes and actually making a site safer, keep reading. We’re delivering a major data centre project in Milan and we need an ASPP who’s comfortable operating where the stakes are high: tight deadlines, multiple contractors, heavy coordination, and a client who expects world‑class standards from day one. This isn’t a desk‑only role. It’s not a “send a few emails and hope everything sorts itself out” role either. It’s a job for someone who likes being on the ground, in the detail, and ahead of problems before they ever become incidents. What you’ll actually be doing Your purpose is simple: make sure the project runs safely, legally, and with a culture people want to buy into—not work around. More specifically, you will: • Be the go‑to person for all things Environment, Health Safety on site—supporting management, supervisors, workers and (when needed) subcontractors and visitors. • Lead by example. Not the “poster on the wall” kind—the one people trust and listen to. • Keep the Kirby management system alive and relevant on site, not buried in a binder. • Audit, inspect and challenge—then help fix what isn’t working. • Ensure training needs are identified, delivered and recorded properly. • Keep EHS plans, RAMS and all statutory documentation up to date and compliant. • Investigate incidents thoroughly and help prevent them from ever happening again. • Verify subcontractor documentation and prepare project‑specific EHS plans alongside site management. • Support HR and the RSPP with appointments, health surveillance, PPE management and mandatory training. • Attend coordination meetings, issue non‑conformances when needed, and make sure everyone on site understands both their obligations and the standards expected. • And yes, you’ll also help keep our compliance admin sharp, structured and always audit‑ready. This is a role for someone who can influence, not just inform. Someone who sees EHS as an enabler of good work—not an obstacle to it. What you’ll need • A recognised ASPP qualification (Prevention and Protection Service Officer). • Italian fluency and strong English—enough to keep up in a multinational project environment. • Ideally a Level 3 (or equivalent) occupational health safety qualification—but if you’ve got the experience, we’re open. • A steady hand, a proactive mindset, and the confidence to speak up when something’s off. Why join us? Because you’ll be part of a major data‑centre build where safety is genuinely valued—not just referenced in PowerPoint. You’ll work with a team that backs you, listens to you, and expects you to bring your ideas forward. You won’t be fighting for relevance here. You’ll be central to how the project succeeds. If that sounds like the kind of impact you want to have, we’d like to hear from you. Candidates belonging to protected categories under L. 68/99 are strongly encouraged to apply. For more information on this role, or other Construction / Engineering opportunities across Ireland, the UK, Europe, or South Africa please review our careers page ( Vacancies - Kirby Group Careers ) or contact the Talent Acquisition Team at Kirby Group in confidence on +353 (0)1 454 0411.
