To learn more visit: www.waabi.ai You will... - Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process. - Manage consolidation of financial statements across entities. - Prepare and review US GAAP financial statements. - Ensure accuracy and completeness of general ledger activity. - Automate accounting processes using AI, including, consolidation, financials statements preparation, close, reconciliations, and reporting workflows. - Identify and implement AI-driven efficiencies to reduce manual work and improve accuracy. - Partner cross-functionally to improve systems, data flow, and reporting. - Support audit processes and maintain audit-ready documentation. - Additional ad hoc projects and responsibilities as assigned.   Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. - 5+ years of accounting experience (public accounting and/or industry). - Strong experience in general accounting, consolidation, and financial reporting. - Deep understanding of US GAAP and the ability to draft technical accounting memos that stand up to audit scrutiny. - Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel. - Demonstrated ability to leverage AI-powered tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude) to automate repetitive tasks, improve workflows, and increase productivity while maintaining accuracy and quality. - Basic coding and scripting skills (e.g., Python) with the ability to build simple automations, analyze data, and integrate AI tools into day-to-day operations. - Open-minded and collaborative team player with the willingness to help others. - Excitement in supporting a fast-paced high-growth environment.   Bonus/nice to have: - Startup/rapidly growing technology company experience. - ERP/financial system implementation. - Licensed CPA.
